The Count of Monte Cristo is the most expensive French film of 2024. Watching Albert Hydee sing and play the guitar, it is very clear that he is not even touching half the strings.. Highlights of La Grande semaine: Episode #1.13 (2024) I never got bored. Not once did I find any inconsistencies. The scenery and sets were top-notch. The acting never took me away from the story, it kept you engaged from start to finish. French cinema produces a lot of forgettable films (in my opinion), some fun ones, some great ones, and here and there a film that really makes me love cinema and theater. Le comte de Monte-Cristo is the latter. I rarely find a film that portrays love, friendship, betrayal, courage, loneliness, caring, revenge, and more in at least a decent way. I was in no hurry. Three hours is a good length, but it felt like less than two. I encourage you to watch this film, it has many qualities and it will not be a waste of time. If you are a Dumas enthusiast, your opinion will definitely change.
